Moguls - Skiers compete either individually or head to head against other skiers through a mogul course and trick off kickers on the way down.
Big Air - Skiers have a certain number of runs to complete a trick of their choice off a terrain park booter.
Park - Rail Jams keep us informed on what the deezy is with the new school shredders out there. Pick your line, hop on it, and try not to eat metal.
Big Mountain - Competitors are given a slope to diagnose. They must choose a line to ski and are judged on Line Choice, Control, Speed, Aggressiveness, and Fluidity.

Head Coach Mike Richards - “A word on the Youth Program”
The goals I have for our younger group are to keep a relaxed and fun learning environment and to introduce them into the broad world of freestyle/freeskiing. At this age, my philosophy is to give an athlete the needed tools and opportunities to start to find themselves as a skier. Whether their passion for skiing leads them towards a more competitive program or a safer, stronger recreational skier, I want identify these goals and be able to push in the right direction.
In addition to Ben and Myself, we plan to bring in some coaches to work specifically with the Youth Program. I will be spending most of the time with the competitive group on hill but both Ben and I will be sure to balance time spent with the Youth kids both on and off the hill.
I am very open to having a meet & greet with all of the new parents/athletes before we get on the snow.
I don’t want to say there is an expected competition schedule for our younger, or first year athletes, but there are 2-3 junior freestyle events and 3-4 junior freeskiing events that are available to that age group. As with our Veteran athletes, competitions that we attend are dependent on club interest, logistics and the overall benefits gained from attending selected events. A schedule of events should be available after some early season committee meetings and from there we will start looking into what events will be most beneficial for each individual athlete.
The focus of the club is to create a fun and challenging environment for the kids where they can develop their free style/ free ski skills and develop new friendships with like-minded skiers.
